Our story

First steps

kood/Sisu (Koodi / Sisu ry) (Koodi / Sisu ry) was founded in 2022 by the forward‑thinking organisations Ponsse, Normet, Novapolis, Istekki, Osuma Henkilöstöpalvelut, OP Pohjola, the Kuopio Chamber of Commerce, and Ylä-Savo Vocational College (YSAO).

The initiative was driven by the need to meet
the rapidly growing regional demand for
software developers through an alternative,
hands‑on teaching approach.

As the labour market evolved quickly,
kood/Sisu grew beyond the traditional
education sector and began offering projects,
events, and employer branding services.

Founding companies meeting the kood/Jõhvi team – possibly for the first time.
Date – somewhere in the far past.

Present Day

Today kood/Sisu provides tailored and fixed‑price projects and services while employing its network of skilled professionals.

At the same time, kood/Sisu advances its mission together with its network of partner companies, developing offerings that meet the fast-changing needs of the industry
