The initiative was driven by the need to meet the rapidly growing regional demand for software developers through an alternative, hands‑on teaching approach.
As the labour market evolved quickly, kood/Sisu grew beyond the traditional education sector and began offering projects, events, and employer branding services.

Today kood/Sisu provides tailored and fixed‑price projects and services while employing its network of skilled professionals.
At the same time, kood/Sisu advances its mission together with its network of partner companies, developing offerings that meet the fast-changing needs of the industry
Koodi / Sisu Coding School in North Savo -project is co-funded by the European Union. The ELY Centre is funding the project with 2.75 million euros from the European Social Fund (ESR+).
