kood/Sisu is a private, industry-driven coding school initiative based in Kuopio, Finland. Established in late 2022 by regional companies, Ponsse, Normet, Novapolis, Istekki, Osuma Henkilöstöpalvelut, OP Financial Group, Kuopio Chamber of Commerce, and Ylä-Savo Vocational College (YSAO), the initiative aims to enhance regional attractiveness for technological development and provide high-quality, business-driven software development education.
The operational team began forming in late 2023, starting with Director Laura Nykänen, followed by Growth Director Roosa Ritvanen and Marketing Specialist Arto Holopainen. The team further expanded with Operational Manager Simone Lehikoinen, Event and Community Coordinator Pihla Pietilä, and Tech & Study Coordinator Farouq Hedhili.
Operating closely with the successful Estonian coding school kood/Jõhvi, kood/Sisu offers practical, peer-learning-based education conducted in English, attracting students locally and nationally. Partner companies envision generating sustainable employment opportunities, regional economic expansion, and a cooperative network of companies.
Currently based at its campus at Viestikatu 1 in Kuopio, kood/Sisu regularly hosts collaborative events and Selection Sprints with an expanding network of partners, solidifying its position as a key platform for ICT education and development.

Koodi / Sisu Coding School in North Savo -project is co-funded by the European Union. The ELY Center is funding the project with 2.75 million euros from the European Social Fund (ESF+).
