Pihla from kood/Sisu visited Comic Con 2025 in Helsinki with our partner Pelaajat.com
Comic Con differed greatly from traditional education fairs; however, it proved both valuable and insightful. The weekend provided a unique chance to raise awareness, meet people face-to-face, and introduce kood/Sisu where coding wasn’t typically expected.
Shared booth with Pelaajat.com
The sold-out event attracted thousands of visitors over the weekend. Moreover, the atmosphere was vibrant and energetic. Attendees of all ages, from children to adults in their fifties, filled the venue. Families, gaming fans, cosplayers, and curious passersby created lively opportunities for conversations and discoveries.
Pihla hosted at the Pelaajat.com booth, notable for its bold red theme and engaging activities. Several playable PC and console games were available, along with a popular Wheel of Fortune featuring great prizes. Visitors continually stopped by to watch, play, and talk. This environment encouraged low-pressure and authentic interactions. Consequently, many visitors stayed longer than usual at traditional education booths.

Coding curious visitors
Although direct recruitment conversations occurred less frequently, the interactions were of higher quality. Visitors appeared open, curious, and knowledgeable about tech. Several attendees mentioned prior coding experiences or interests, and the idea of a coding school was well-received. These spontaneous conversations offered genuine encouragement.
The program across the venue was extensive. It included live panels, Q&A sessions with gaming professionals and celebrities, interactive workshops, fan meetups, and various merchandise stands. Though entertainment-focused, the event greatly increased visibility for kood/Sisu. The logo appeared on the main stage, the livestream, and consistently at the booth.
Friday’s highlight was Pelaajat.com‘s main stage bingo. More than 500 participants, both onsite and online, joined. Additionally, excitement around the PlayStation 5 main prize significantly enhanced the day’s energy.
Saturday CS2 tournament
Saturday attracted even more visitors. Pihla again engaged attendees at the Pelaajat.com booth, welcoming visitors and continuing to introduce kood/Sisu. Notably, several visitors returned from Friday for additional conversations.
A CS2 tournament on Saturday featured finalists competing against professional player Allu. Hosted live by Olvari, it consistently drew a steady audience, further energizing the booth area.
After the event, Pihla joined the Pelaajat.com team for informal networking and reflection. Such casual interactions often create meaningful connections, and this evening was no exception.
