The annual general meeting of Koodi / Sisu ry, the organisation behind the coding school, concluded successfully. Thank you to the outgoing board members for their dedicated cooperation over the past year.
New Board and Next Steps
Miika Soininen from Ponsse will continue as Chairman. We are pleased to welcome new board members Kyösti Karhunen from Novapolis Oy as Vice Chairman, and Markku Savusalo from Siili Solutions Oy as a board member of Koodi / Sisu ry. In the upcoming year agenda will be funding, service business development, and education programs.
On the operational side, our team—Laura Nykänen, Arto Holopainen, Roosa Ritvanen, Pihla Pietilä, Farouq Hedhili, and Simone Lehikoinen—will continue developing the school’s offerings and strategy in collaboration with our community.
The Alumni Panel
The annual meeting also featured a panel discussion, where alumni Olli Kivioja, Veera Pylkkänen, Mariia Sazhina, and Leonardo Niño shared their experiences on how practical, work-oriented studies helped them in their first software development jobs. The board had the possibility to ask free questions during the panel and we discussed how the study methods have prepared them for their first internships or how the experience as a Tech Tutor on our May Selection Sprint has been so far.
Employer representative Sara-Lotta Moilanen from Ponsse noted the high problem-solving abilities and logical skills of Koodi/Sisu graduates, emphasizing their strong professional readiness.
