The day started at 12:00 PM with registration for participants, followed by Reetta Siltasalmi-Kautto’s inspiring keynote speech at 1:00 PM. Her talk set the tone for the day, focusing on the importance of embracing technology and how believing in yourself and showing your strengths is key to success in the job market. Reetta’s words reminded us all of the importance of showcasing our personalities and talents in the professional world.
At 1:15 PM, attendees enjoyed an insightful panel discussion on Navigating Career Transitions: From Education to Employment, featuring Teemu Paldanius (Normet Group), Elina Ruotsalainen (Ponsse), and Jukka T. Sormunen (Mobie Oy). This discussion was not only a key moment of the day but also highlighted a theme that ran through the entire event: the challenges and opportunities of transitioning from education to the workforce. The panelists shared valuable insights on how students can best position themselves for career success and how they can navigate the changes and challenges they may face during their career journey.
From 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM, the clinics were a major highlight of the day. Students had the chance to dive deep into their career goals and receive personalized guidance from experts. Samuel Mikkonen (EverBetter Oy) guided students on improving their GitHub profiles, and Laura Nykänen shared valuable insights on communication skills for job interviews and email exchanges. These clinics were a great opportunity for students to get practical advice and tailor their profiles for success.

As the official program concluded at 5:30 PM, many participants headed to the JobFair/AfterDark afterparty at Bar Lasku. The relaxed atmosphere allowed everyone to continue conversations, build deeper connections, and enjoy a fun evening of networking.
