Three Weeks of 100% coding!
Selection Sprint IV at kood/Sisu launched on October 28, 2024, with an excited crowd of new applicants at Viestikatu 1, Kuopio. We host Sprints a few times yearly and the successful applicants will earn a spot at kood/Sisu. Open to anyone, the three-week challenge offers training and tasks designed to push participants to learn a lot in a short period. Here’s what each week entails:
Week 1 (on-site)
The first week is always intense, as participants face the hardest day right off the bat. They get hands-on with the basics of Go language, tasks and problem-solving. The first week demands focus and working as a group to set a solid foundation for the weeks to come. The first exam is on Friday and after that, we are having a social hangout event on the evening. During the weekend, Applicants complete group tasks.
Week 2 (on-site)
The second week continues on-site with a deeper dive into Go. The week mirrors the first in structure, featuring daily tasks, an exam on Friday, and another group hangout. This time partner companies host the event and it’s held on Five Star at Viestikatu 1. Applicants complete group activities over the weekend.
Week 3 (Remote)
In the final week, applicants work remotely, pushing their knowledge further. It’s also testing the ability of applicants to stay motivated outside of a campus environment and without other applicants. Daily assignments lead to an online final exam, testing everything they’ve learned over the Sprint.
